Bridging Oases is a continuously evolving demonstrator architecture showcasing open standards based interoperability between 3rd party LCMS and LMS systems to optimize rapid and massive learning content production and deployment. The demonstration will showcase all IMS, SCORM and O.K.I OSIDs content specs as well as medical focused developments (e.g. IVIMEDS and MedBiquitous) to achieve full and open content interoperability and migration.
The demonstrator will showcase live the creation of Medical Content brokering raw assets from a large set of international federated repositories (e.g. IVIMEDS and UK NHS) to create SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 content, including rich media and mobile content, to be made seamlessly available on both 3rd party vendor (e.g. Blackboard and WebCT) and Open Source (e.g. Sakai and .LRN) LMSs with no content lock in and maximum reusability and ROI into large volume content productions.
The demonstrator will also showcase Rich Media Caching Technology and Wi-Fi Mobile Location based content delivery by network partner CISCO to deliver video based medical lessons on any mobile device and location of use of target students and users.
Providing highly personalized learning experiences that take into account the needs and skills of students and educators requires new architectural paradigms and levels of interoperability for eLearning solutions. All this is leading to fundamental market shift in educational technology. Bridging Oases demonstrator will show this live.
