Online CME Accreditation for Point-of-Care LearningThe CME community has recognized point-of-care (POC) learning as an accreditable activity. Physicians seek out clinical information from online sources to answer their patient-specific questions. To earn credit, they must document their search and reflect on its application and usefulness. Tufts Health Care Institute and the Tufts Office of Continuing Education are accrediting searches completed with InfoRetriever, an online database system of filtered, synopsized, evidence-based information. The processes of earning, claiming, and tracking credits are also completed online, through interfaces between InfoRetriever and the Tufts Online Credit Tracker. Presenters will discuss development and utilization of this POC CME.
