CMEOhio: Collaborative online CME through the Ohio medical schoolsThe seven medical schools in Ohio have developed a CME portal through which we share and manage our online educational resources. This portal, developed in cooperation with CECity, is a learning management system that overcomes the individual disparate systems that exist across our institutions. The learning content resides at each institution and learning records are kept centrally as well as within the records databases in several participating institution. CMEOhio is a good example of building a central SCORM-complaint learning management system from noncompliant legacy systems. This has also become an experiment in driving SCORM compliance from a central resource back to individual institutions.
