Agenda available for MedBiquitous 2012
A full agenda is now available for the MedBiquitous Annual Conference May 2-4, 2012 at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. The conference provides an opportunity for hands on exploration of learning technologies, active discussion with peers, and updates from leaders in the field. Dr. Peter Pronovost, Senior Vice President for Patient Safety and Quality and Director of the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality, Johns Hopkins Medicine, will speak about clinical communities and peer-driven quality improvement. Dr. Craig Campbell, Director of the Office of Professional Affairs at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, will speak about facilitating a culture of lifelong learning and self-improvement. Dr. Thomas Talbot, Medical Simulation Portfolio Manager, Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center, will provide the Philip Dodds Memorial lecture in the closing session. In addition, there are exciting workshops, panel presentations, and innovation demonstrations that provide opportunities for hand-on learning, sharing best practices, and networking.
Curriculum Report Draft Available
The MedBiquitous Curriculum Inventory working group has a working draft of the Curriculum Report Specification available for review. The specification supports reporting of undergraduate, graduate, and continuing health professions education and training for benchmarking and research to promote curriculum reform efforts.
