MedBiquitous Annual Conference Registration Open
Registration is now open for the 2007 MedBiquitous Annual Conference, April 16-18 in Baltimore, Maryland. Speakers include Dr. James Thompson, President and CEO of the Federation of State Medical Boards, Carnegie Mellon gaming expert Jesse Schell, and Dr. Jerry Osheroff, Chief Clinical Informatics Officer, Thomson Micromedex. The program includes interactive workshops, panels, innovation demonstrations, and plenary sessions on virtual patients, SCORM for Healthcare, competency frameworks, digital CME certificates, self assessment, point-of-care learning, and many other topics related to innovation in healthcare education. In addition, MedBiquitous working groups will hold open meetings during the annual conference. All registrants are welcome to attend. For more information, see:

Exhibitor Registration Available
MedBiquitous is pleased to offer an exhibit as part of its annual conference. The exhibit provides an opportunity for conference attendees to learn more about commercial products and academic programs and initiatives. The exhibit begins April 17 at 5 PM and ends April 18 at 2 PM. A reception, lunch, breakfast, and coffee breaks will take place within the exhibit. Professional Profile Goes to Public Review
The MedBiquitous Healthcare Professional Profile is now available for public review as part of the ANSI-accredited MedBiquitous standards development process. The specification provides a common XML format for describing a professional’s name, address, unique identifiers, education, training, certifications, state licenses, notices and disciplinary actions from licensing boards, occupation, including privileges and specialty, academic appointments, personal data, and membership in professional organizations. The specification is available for download at
