Thanks to all of our award winners for their outstanding leadership! Revised Syndication Guidelines AvailableThe MedBiquitous Technical Steering Committee has released revised Content Syndication Guidelines that provide recommendations for those wishing to use Atom or Really Simple Syndication (RSS) for creating Internet-based content feeds and podcasts. Users can subscribe to feeds using their web browser, and feeds can be integrated easily into other websites and content offerings. Feeds can also be used to announce the availability of new CE offerings in a particular subject area. Together with new publishing protocols, feeds also provide the opportunity to engage and support communities of practice. PublicationsMedBiquitous is pleased to announce the publication of several articles directly related to the consortium's activities. The March 2008 issue of Medical Teacher includes a special e-learning theme with articles addressing the case for technology standards in health professions education, the opportunity presented by a virtual patient commons, the importance of OpenCourseWare in the health sciences, and much more. Together the articles provide a unique overview of the opportunities afforded by new technologies and approaches to change health professions education. In addition, Source Code for Biology and Medicine has published an article describing tools for discovering competencies and associated learning resources. If you would like to announce a publication directly related to the consortium's activities, please contact Valerie Smothers at vsmothers@medbiq.org.
