Sponsorship allows MedBiquitous to continue to work on high-impact standards development efforts with its members. MedBiquitous is the only standards development organization focusing on healthcare education technologies. Education is an important component of maintenance of certification, maintenance of licensure, and quality improvement attempts to address the quality chasm identified by the Institute of Medicine, but standards are necessary to enable the coordination necessary to move the industry forward as a whole.
