Specifications
MedBiquitous specifications are draft standards to advance healthcare education and competence assessment. The following specifications are currently in development.
-
Competency Framework
Defines a set of related learning outcomes or competencies and, when combined with other specifications, enables educational resources and activities to be tied to a competency framework. -
Curriculum Report
Defines core curriculum data for a health professions education program. -
Educational Trajectory
Describes the path of an individual learner through one or more programs of study, including informal professional development and breaks in matriculation. -
SCORM for Healthcare
Enables interoperability for healthcare e-learning
Competency Framework
The Competency Framework allows competencies and learning outcomes to be used as the backbone of education and performance management systems, enabling users to search for resources addressing a specific competency and determine where competencies are addressed in the curriculum.
Curriculum Report
Curriculum Report is intended to facilitate the exchange and aggregation of data about health professions curriculum across the continuum of professional education and training. It is necessary to enable the aggregation of curriculum data for research and benchmarking purposes.
Educational Trajectory
The MedBiquitous Educational Trajectory Profile extends the LEAP2A specification for e-portfolios. The profile provides a consistent format for describing the path of an individual learner through one or more programs of study, including informal professional development and breaks in matriculation.
