Technical Documents

The MedBiquitous Technical Steering Committee creates documents to guide the development of MedBiquitous standards to ensure their compatibility and interoperability. In addition, the Teschnical Steering Committee and MedBiquitous Working Groups create guidelines for those wishing to implement broader industry standards relevant to healthcare education. Many of these documents require the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  • The Technical Architecture for the MedBiquitous Consortium proposes a
    strategy for developing a shared, distributed network infrastructure for

  • The Content Syndication Guidelines provide recommendations for those wishing to use Atom or Really Simple Syndication (RSS) for creating Internet-based content feeds and podcasts.  (PDF, 492 KB)
  • The Single Sign On Guidelines provide recommendations for those interested in using a consistent, standards-based approach to single sign on across their enterprise and across organizations. (PDF, 39 KB)
  • The XML Design Guidelines provide a consistent approach to XML schema development that maximizes reusability of components. (PDF, 100 KB)
  • The Web Services Design Guidelines provide a consistent approach to Web services development that facilitates interoperability among disparate systems and compatibility with Web Services Interoperability recommendations. (PDF, 78 KB)
