It’s once again that time of year. The MedBiquitous team is working hard to prepare for our Annual Conference, which will be held June 5-6 right here at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Anyone who has attended this event in the past will tell you that it delivers a great opportunity to learn about the latest and greatest news, research, priorities and innovations related to digital technologies and health professions education. But just as important and valuable are the opportunities this event provides for our members to connect, network and interact with colleagues.
This year’s event is shaping up to be our best one yet. A series of presentations and workshops will center around our conference theme, “Pragmatic Education Innovation.” We will hear from industry experts on hot topics ranging from competency-based assessment systems for physicians-in-training to new platforms to streamline collaboration and communication, personalized training using an open source architecture, virtual scenario integration and artificial intelligence in virtual patients, just to name a few.
We will also be introducing “Speedy Standards Stories” which will present real world examples of how the MedBiquitous standards are impacting the health professions industry. These presentations will be followed by interactive breakout discussions, allowing our members to ask questions and learn more about projects that are relevant to their goals. We added this component to our event agenda based on feedback we received from you following last year’s Annual Conference. Many members requested that we incorporate more opportunities for personalized or small group interaction and discussion. Speedy Standards Stories is designed to do exactly that!
If you haven’t already done so, please visit our Annual Conference web site to learn more about the agenda, keynote speakers and networking opportunities we have planned, and to register. I also encourage you to check out the sponsorships page on the site if your organization is interested in supporting our event while also gaining some tremendous opportunities for exposure and promotion.
I look forward to seeing you in June!
