The MOCAM platform was created to facilitate sharing multiple offerings from ABMS Member Boards to their certified diplomates. It has grown to include Academic Medical Centers and other healthcare organizations. The platform utilizes the Medbiquitous standards to send and receive information in a standardized way among the growing number of organizations engaging with the platform. It not only enables individuals to document existing work they are doing in order to receive certification credit, but also allows organizations to share best practices in education and quality improvement efforts. As an example, the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) recently added a Residency Improvement Pathway (ResPIP) to the MOCAM platform to allow residents to document and share quality improvement programs and results that they are engaging in as part of their training in order to quality for certification credit.
